Try throwing a yogurt in the freezer for an hour. Mix and enjoy. DO NOT FREEZE IT SOLID it doesn't thaw well. It's better for you than ice cream but just as satisfying and so tasty.
Yogurt Dots
I use a Silpat mat but you can use parchment paper, foil, baking dish, cookie sheet or any plate will do. Spray very lightly with cooking spray if needed. I use a Ziploc bag as a piping bag but you can use a spoon too. I fill the sheet with small bite sized dots of yogurt and freeze until set. Remove from sheet and store in freezer in Ziploc bag or any container . Great for snacking. Kids love them. They can also be used in milk shakes or smoothies instead of ice. They won't water them down like ice. You get a smooth, creamy shake/smoothie.
Flipping genius!
ReplyDeleteThanks!!
ReplyDeleteIs this just regular yogurt, like yoplait or something (cheaper)?
ReplyDelete@ Yvonne, you can use any yogurt you like. Any price, any brand, any flavor, any type. Greek, soy, fruit on the bottom etc. I happened to have plain when I took this pic!
